• The Purchasing Administrative Assistant position provides specialized administrative support to the Purchasing Department for the procurement of school district supplies and services using the Invitations to Bid (ITB), Requests for Quotation (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP), Invitation to Submit (ITS) and Letter of Interest (LOI) processes. • Under general supervision of the Buyers, Purchasing Agents and Contract Coordinators, prepares ITBs, RFQs, RFPs, ITSs, and LOIs, advertises the solicitations, sets-up pre and post solicitation meetings using Outlook, attends Bid Openings to record bids, creates bid abstracts, posts ITBs, RFQs, RFPs, ITSs, and LOIs, and abstracts on the school district website. • Prepares award letters, unsuccessful notices and other notifications to vendors in accordance with Anchorage School Board and Municipal policies and procedures. • Files and maintains project folders and prepares files for end-of-year closeout. Greet the public, answer a multi-line phone, and assist Vendors with registration on the school district website.

Double J Mining and Jewellery was a retail outlet selling custom-made Alaskan gold nugget jewellery and providing on-site jewellery repair. Designed and manufactured a highly successful range of custom-made Alaska gold nugget jewellery (rings, pendants, earrings, watches) utilising genuine diamond and coloured stones. Improved the knowledge and understanding of the jewellery market and industry to the business owners, advising on identification, valuation and selling techniques resulting in increased sales.

Williams Enterprises provided parts and equipment to a joint military operation in South East Alaska. Responded to an opportunity to provide a wide range of materials and services to the US Government to assist in infrastructure development. Worked closely with Armed Forces supply specialists to ensure that all required documentation necessary to become a supplier met stringent requirements. Successful authorisation enabled the supply of custom made items.
