My most recent role is in product-level design of a rugged 10Gigabit Ethernet switch. This involves working with the larger team of mechanical and electrical designers and System Engineers and other specialty groups to define and design the product.September 2010 - presentCombat Net Radio Enhanced; CNR(E) Hardware Design Team Lead. This project is a technology refresh of a vehicle-borne VHF radio for the Canadian Army. I originally worked with the Firmware Team to achieve a viable processing architecture for the size and power budget of the radio. This followed on into the design and qualification of multiple new circuit cards for the radio, involving the entire signal chain from audio processing to digital transmission and reception. During this project, I have worked closely with the Firmware, System Engineering, Test, and Production teams to continually refine the design and ensure a reliable and producible product.2007 - 2010 Analogue Design Team LeadI was either designer or team lead for the designs of a number of General-Dynamics products during this time. The products included the Communications Selector Box (CSB) voice over IP communications system for the Canadian Army, The Disruption Tolerant Network Router (DTNR) for the UAE, The Vital-Point Bio (Chem-bio threat detector) system for the Canadian Army, and a number of other R&D initiatives for future products.Overall, my roles in General-Dymamics have given me expertise in:Acoustics for audio ancillariesDesign of analogue voice-band circuitryDesign of rugged, isolated MIL1275 and MIL461 compliant switching power suppliesDesign of VHF TransceiversDesign of rugged Ethernet packet switching equipmentDuring my time at GD, I have also been a System Engineer and a designer for many of the communications products in the Bowman system for the British Army.

I helped to deveolp and transition Creo Products Inc. Platesetter product line from engineering prototype into a reliable product. Creo Products was later acquired by KodakDuring my time at Creo, I helped to debug the beta versions of new "Platesetter" products and also developed and delivered training materials for service personell
