The underlying objective is ensuring that board members, and thus their organisations as a whole, deliver on their potential. My time as a NED on Oman Power & Water Procurement Company brought valuable experience on influencing, as the only non-Arab on the Board, and also the challenges of being a regulated entity within an overall government structure. I bring these insights to life in my training programmes with the FT Director Programme and also my Executive Coaching with Charity CEOs via Kilfinan.I have also enjoyed my time at the Rugby Football Union for the last 7 years, as an Independent Member of the Remuneration Committee and latterly the Council Nominations Committee, helping to bring some of the learnings from business into the sporting arena where there are so many people making sacrifices for the game they love.I have extensive international experience as a Senior Partner at PWC advising Boards on people development, executive remuneration and organisational change in many countries around the world including Australia, Finland, Russia, South Africa, Switzerland and the USA.I now operate independently, working with all sizes of organisation from FTSE 100 companies to Government bodies, private equity backed entities and sports bodies.
