• As part of a work placement module in UCC, I worked with BioAtlantis conducting plant research on seaweed-based bio-stimulants. • Worked closely with several departments, including finance and sales teams to gain valuable insights on the agronomic and commercial potential of the products. • Learned several wet-lab and data analysis techniques to help make informed decisions on bio stimulant applications. • Helped to deliver numerous published papers on research that our team carried out, improving my understanding of professional and scientific writing methods.

● Winners of Ideate Ireland Start-up Accelerator 2024, placing 2nd runners up with Lion's Reign. ● Received training through a world-class accelerator for start-up businesses including mentorship from several award winning serial entrepreneurs, through a 10-week program.● Prepared Lion's Reign for investment readiness and formation of business planning. ● Engaged with industry leaders within the mushroom farming and snacking industries.● Award including pre-seed funding, without losing equity, which has been crucial to Lion’s Reign.

● Perfected working with members of the public and handling disputes between difficult customers by using problem solving and interpersonal skills.● Developed and managed all cocktail recipe lists, in this I learned how to develop efficient SOPs and cost-effective drinks, without losing out on taste.● Trained a number of staff while handling various roles, including bar service, floor management and food running.● Learned the ins-and-outs of running a bar/restaurant, including handling large amounts of money when opening and closing.● Dealt with orders and deliveries to help ensure that the company continues to run smoothly and does not fall under the expected level of stock.

● Was cross-trained to deal with responsibilities with bar service, floor service and running food on the pass.● Improved my knowledge of cocktails and food with a new set of menus.● My time in the Kingsley was a full-time position, which was carried out alongside my second semester of my 2 nd year in college. From this I learned how to effectively manage my time and work under pressure- both academically and professionally.

● Before and after starting college, I started bar-tending in a family-run pub and restaurant in the centre of Killarney.● After spending some time here, I returned to work here in a more senior position with greater responsibilities later in 2023.

● My first job and introduction to the service industry, I was responsible for running food on the pass and ensuring effective communication between front of house and the kitchen.
