ASSOCIATE VICE PRESIDENT – INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY / CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER, LAMAR UNIVERSITYAssociate Vice President – Information Technology / Chief Information Officer responsibility includes the oversight of all aspects of Information Technology for the University. These services range from ERP operations, application management, security operations, database management, IT compliance, network management, data center operations, systems administration, telecommunications, media support, client computing services and customer service desk. The Office of Information Technology is the front-facing group for the University that interfaces directly with students, faculty, and staff for all IT related issues. This position manages a large portfolio of services and staff as well as having the responsibility for the careful and strategic management of a sizeable budget consisting of staff salary, maintenance and operations budget and system funded Higher Education Funding (HEF) allocations.

Executive Director - Information Technology has the oversight of Data Center Operations, Systems Administration, Network Operations, Telecommunication Services, Client Computing, Service Desk Operations, and Media Support Services. This position is responsible for forecasting and planning all budgeting, purchasing, and design initiatives involving IT and associated systems. This position takes lead on decisions dealing with data center and system-level compute platforms, network switching, routing and wireless services, all IP voice systems, endpoint computing, call center activities and media services support for all major University events.

Sr. Director of IT Computing Infrastructure includes the oversight of Data Center Operations, Systems Administration, Network Operations and Telecommunication Services. This position is responsible for the forecasting and planning for all campus IT infrastructure systems dealing with data center and system level compute platforms, network switching, routing and wireless services and all IP voice systems.
