• Managed team of 7-15 chemical technicians. Mentored and assisted technicians with career development through bi-weekly 1on1 update meetings and bi-annual performance reviews.
• Supervised maintenance of all Peptide Development Center facilities and equipment. This included 9 labs spread throughout 2 production buildings, a solvent shed, and 2 external refrigerated storage buildings.
• Coordinated with outside contractors, vendors and other departments for all facility needs while maintaining day to day operations and minimizing downtime.
• Managed completion of 25kg of Exenatide in fiscal year 2016 with only 3 major exceptions for the year, all shipment dates met, and yield met for every batch with a team of 17 people, only 3 of which had any prior.
• Ensured that all maintenance activities are documented and are traceable in accordance GMP and company requirements.
• Ensured on-time monthly completion of about 200 annual or semi-annual PMs, 100 of which were critical. Authored exceptions as needed for any equipment.

• Managed and mentored a team of chemical technicians (7-20 at various times)
• Developed bi-weekly production schedule to meet customer demands. Determined daily priorities based on this schedule and delegate to technicians based on “pull” system.
• Issued hazardous work permits, schedule downtimes for maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment
• Led team developing new modular training materials and system. The creation of this system greatly aided our ability to hit production goals safely in 2016 when we had 14 new technicians that had to be brought up to.
• Led process improvement team responsible for making improvements and cost reductions. Increased yield for purification by ~20% through optimized fractioning.
