I have worked in the field of Hydroprocessing, Heavy Oil upgrading, and Gas Processing at the R&D Center of GS Engineering & Construction since 2010. I was involved with concept design, setting-up, bench operation, process optimization, and FEED Package. Also, I am proficient in PRO-II, ASPEN, HYSYS, and ADSIM Process Simulator. Furthermore, I can ultimately verify processes, like start-up and troubleshooting, by using DYSIM, as a dynamic simulator. While I was working for Honam Petrochemical, I focused my research on separating EB (EthylBenzene) process development selectively in Solvent MixedXylene. After meticulous work, the results of solvent screening, simulation, scale-up, demonstration, and budgetary evaluation were concluded. As a result, I contributed to the diversification of Isomar MixedXylene feed stocks, after successfully separating EB from the existing BTX. At my first job, I was involved in operating a PX Plant (Para-Xylene), and participated in MXDA (m-xylenediamine) commercial process development, engineering plastics with a CO2-resistant barrier, by using m-xylene (aromatics C8+). I was also a key member in the commercialization of MXDA manufacturing process, which was developed from a few grams to a few tons. I was actively managing the design, set-up, operation, simulation, and stabilization of the bench scale, pilot scale, and commercial scale plants.
