I could talk endlessly about numbers since I was a little kid. While I did not recognize my dream to become an actuary earlier, my path has allowed me to grow into a diverse individual. From volunteering at a local food bank to working at a summer hotspot on Long Island, the skills I have gathered from each experience make me into who I am today.I am currently an undergraduate student at Stony Brook University and studying Applied Mathematics and Statistics. After taking a statistics course in the Spring 2023 semester, I found my passion for mathematics. Starting with Island Harvest, I learned how to be a collaborative worker and work as a team to achieve a common goal. I was lucky to become one of the student leaders and this allowed me to enhance my leadership qualities. At Gettysburg College, I took what I learned and achieved at Island Harvest to become an Eisenhower Scholar. Being an Eisenhower Scholar allowed me to create policy change and find solutions to community problems. I was a position player on the Gettysburg College Baseball Team, as baseball has been one of my lifelong passions. After transferring back home to Stony Brook University, I worked as an optometric assistant and thought I wanted to become an optometrist. I loved the eye and enjoyed the biology courses I took at Gettysburg College and Stony Brook University, especially one where we utilized Microsoft Excel. Being an optometric assistant allowed me to hone my multitasking skills and grow my patient care and support abilities. I became a Stony Brook University student in 2022 and loved the change. Throughout my first year at Stony Brook University, I continued my rigorous coursework and joined Club Baseball. Since baseball is one of my passions, I joined the club and have taken on leadership roles, as I am the team captain and event coordinator. I have taken every skill, such as collaboration and teamwork, from my past and use it in my roles today. At TopGolf, I work in a fast-paced environment and ensure seamless turnaround, along with customer satisfaction and communicating effectively with my coworkers. My experiences have shaped me into the person I am today and am super excited to start this chapter of my life.
