Originally recruited to build this bootstrap, startup company and shape the IT infrastructure, I have been promotedmultiple times as the organization has expanded. I now oversee 3 business units comprised of Data, Infrastructure,and Release & Delivery and hold bottom line accountability for the design and execution of the data engineeringroadmap, building new technology stacks for highly scalable and existing data pipelines, creating canonical datamodels, and maintaining workflow management tools. Leading a talented team of geographically dispersed engineersresponsible for the development, packaging, and delivery of enterprise software to high-value data quality vendorstotaling nearly $20M in revenue, below is a selection of our contributions over the past few years:♦ Flawlessly executed the integration of Loqate into the GBG portfolio after the 2015 acquisition, streamliningprocesses and expanding the Loqate service offering to the newly formed sister organizations under the GBGumbrella.♦ Ensured the long-range sustainability of our location intelligence division, sourcing top-tier talent to scale the coreteam to 4 local and 15 offshore (Malaysia) Data Engineers.♦ Augmented the performance capabilities and increased production through the implementation of Jira and Agilemethodology and practices, overseeing all case management and development workflows, boards, etc., deliveringproductivity metrics back to engineering leadership teams.

Facilitating the internal expansion efforts subsequent to Loqate’s purchase by GBG to accommodate internalpartnerships with sister companies that spiked product demand, I actively developed partnerships with sisterorganizations and opened a branch office in Kuala Lumpur, which expanded our core team from 1 FTE to 15 FTE.Hiring, training, managing, mentoring, and promoting co-located team members to ensure consistency in processes,procedures, and product delivery, I was able to achieve the following in one fiscal cycle:♦ Successfully completing numerous critical projects including: 1) a development project mapping individualgeographic hierarchies (from postal code up to dependent locality) for all 243 countries and territories across theglobe, and 2) creation of an expert system designed to take curated data and map it – hero structure/golden standard,combining different components of location to architect best quality product on market.♦ Enhanced the service delivery and product architecture across multiple product lines by introducing releaseautomation, removing technical debt, improving testing, and implementing a global infrastructure.♦ Interfaced with interdisciplinary engineering teams to translate the customer mission goals into technicalrequirements, explaining and facilitating cross-functional design activities as they related to deployment, configuration,maintenance, testing, and reporting.

Optimizing the product offering in preparation for the sale of Loqate, I transitioned to an exclusively data engineeringfunction after the expansion of the IT organization into specific business units (IT support, systems engineering, andproduct delivery). Enhancing the product line by updating sources, bringing in new sources, performing transforms,etc. I used a proprietary, custom designed ETL tool to translate data into a useable format for the software teams.Interfacing with customers to resolve issues and restore product functionality, I regularly teamed with BusinessDevelopment as a technical consultant during pre-sales scope of services development and translated technicalrequirements into comprehensible business objectives. A highlight of the impacts I made include:♦ Designing and deploying release systems and workflows to achieve client specification requirements, teamingeffectively across all verticals, and interfacing with clients to ensure quality product delivery.♦ Building complex data pipelines, developing frameworks for connecting to data sources and constructing ETLtasks, consistently evolving the data model and data schema based on business and engineering requirements, anddelivering data that drove business decisions.

Directing all of the IT functions across the organization including system engineering, data engineering, andsupport/network services, I established and managed a 24x7 support services center, fielding all troubleshooting andissue resolution activities for both internal and external customers. Building out the IT Support Services for Loqateresulted in the following:♦ Increased operational efficiencies and resolved issues related to outages, minimizing downtime and maximizingoperability.♦ Expanded functionality of Helpdesk operations, leading to the hiring, training, mentoring and eventual promotion ofan intern into a full time employee as well as the addition of an Infrastructure Manager.

Contributing my expertise in IT to this brand-new startup, I built the infrastructure from the ground up, including, butnot limited to data source acquisition, loading data, performing data transforms, website development, equipmentpurchases and maintenance, technical support, network installation and support, technical sales support, customerinquiries and issue resolution, etc. Some of my early achievements during the formation of Loqate include:♦ Architecting the first cloud offering to maintain the newly created co-location, planning and building the system end-to-end from hardware purchase, installation, collocations, and configuration through to maintenance, troubleshooting,and implementation of a monitoring service.♦ Teaming effectively with the Co-Owners and Founders to create a secure, scalable IT infrastructure capable ofkeeping pace with exponential growth.♦ Designing robust scalable solutions for collecting and analyzing large data sets, as well as maintaining datapipelines, data structures, and reports.
