About Sean Simpson

I'm a multi-skilled professional with a broad background in technical, community and sustainability fields. I'm passionate about continuous improvement, both personally and professionally. Personally, this comes across in a focus on learning. I've completed a Masters in Public Policy and Management and a Masters of Sustainability Management; now, I'm focused on learning Arabic outside of work.Professionally, this translates to strength in engaging hard-to-reach communities and tackling wicked problems. I'm able to look at problems from a variety of angles and bring a broad swathe of skills to bear to find the best possible solution, as well as to learn rapidly when placed outside my comfort zone.Recently, I've also started consulting part time for Hive (hive.org.au), a specialist group that aims to use community development strategies to build stronger, more sustainable communities for the future.I also spend time working with various not-for-profit groups in and around first Perth and now Melbourne, lending a hand or my experience in facilitation or organisational management where I could. As a relative newcomer to Melbourne, I'm still looking to expand my networks in Australia's south-east.
