Served as liaison between Information Technology, Research and Development and Management regarding supplier recommendations, proposals and new technology.

Among other responsibilities, managed the purchasing function for the City of Lawrence, Kansas. Reviewed and processed all requisitions over $1000 while evaluating product, performance and conditions of vendor proposals. Supervised the City of Lawrence employee purchasing card program by monitoring department compliance, resolving transaction disputes and issuing/terminating cards. Led the transition of the City of Lawrence purchasing card program to a new financial institution along with creating and implementing a training program for all cardholders to ensure a seamless conversion Revised purchasing policies to align with Finance goals and monitored compliance against the City of Lawrence purchasing procedures.

Managed the strategic purchasing and tactical buying transactions for assigned marketing categories, which included commercial print and premiums. Gained experience in capital purchases and product leasing while working within MRO and facility categories. Assisted in the implementation of SAP eBuy purchasing module for Hill’s U.S., along with being the Hill’s lead on the SAP eSourcing project team. Other responsibilities included monitoring purchasing process to ensure corporate policies were being followed, catalog implementation/management, customer support and issue resolution.
