I demonstrated that I was able to undertake large projects that have multiple streams of work and achieve successful outcomes.My achievements included:• leading the development of the policy that determines when members of the NZDF will have cover under the Act for war or war like service• ensuring members of the NZDF and veterans who had been exposed to a significant risk of harm during developments had cover under the Act• advising the Government on its response to the concerns of New Zealand’s nuclear veterans and their descendants• creating the business model that Veterans’ Affairs used for Scheme One of the Act • assisting with drafting of the cabinet paper that enabled the first Annual General Adjustment to occur under the Act.
