The Tally42 Data Fabric Portal is a full-stack application framework I developed for rapid development using a data fabric architecture. It uses SQL Server, ssms, C#, .NET, XHTML, CSS, TypeScript, JavaScript, and JQuery.The data layer abstracts data from multiple database platforms (structured and unstructured) into standard record sets that can be used by UI developers without any knowledge of the source. Queries are processed and parameterized before they are sent to the server, eliminating the possibility of SQL injection. The data layer provides server-side and client-side data manipulation depending on the capabilities of the data server. When needed, data can be cached in a warehouse for faster access. The Content Centric Portal currently supports SQL Server, Oracle, DocumentDB, Active Directory, flat files, web APIs, shapefiles (GIS), and DB2. It also has its own native document management system as well as support for Google Docs.The presentation layer uses XHTML to add server-side procedural functionality to HTML pages. This functionality can be nested to easily create controls without the need for compilation. Controls support AJAX and user customization. The presentation layer is centered around database objects and content types, making the system highly modular and customizable.Writer’s RunCreate a social media website for writers to manage books, projects, and groups. The server implements a hybrid NOSQL/SQL database layered on SQL server that provides versioning, check-in and check-out, and role-based security as well as Document Management functionality using its native DM or Google Docs.

Developed and designed core technologies for Handshake Software, a Business Intelligence and System Integration portal that works with SharePoint.Led the Corporate Team in hiring, directing, and building a software team and development processes.Developed and designed the Handshake Relationship Engine, which abstracts data from disparate systems and presents it in a single result that can be presented through many different user interfaces. The engine is extremely versatile, allowing searches across different data sources including non-structured DMSs as well. It was the core used for our reporting, replication, expertise, and portal offerings.Developed and designed the Handshake Pipeline Engine, a modular system that uses the Relationship Engine to perform data transformations and routing. There were modules for workflow, email, document analysis and transformation, security, etc. This was the core for our document replication engine that could transfer documents from one DMS to another, preserving profiles and security.Helped to design an award-winning portal for Bingham McCutchen for their SharePoint portal in Silverlight using the Handshake Relationship Engine.Designed and developed the Handshake Page Guru product, which allows users to customize widgets on their SharePoint Portal.
