I worked as a CSA at Lowe's in Pittsboro, NC. I was the Team Leader and Mentor in the Outside Lawn and Garden department, and I supervised and coached new and existing members of my team. I assisted my department supervisor with her administrative duties, such as performing cycle counts of inventory and recording inventory to be credited.

I served guests responsibly and timely to ensure their experience is enjoyable, and encouraged them to return to the restaurant. I have also trained multiple employees on restaurant policies and procedures.

During my time at CarMax, my responsibilities were to order parts, receive them, and allocate them. I spent most of my time in ordering, in which I had a critical responsibility to order the correct parts, be able to receive them in a timely manner, and do so for the lowest cost possible. I was able to hone both my technical skills while inputting information into the computer system, as well as my communication skills while speaking with dealerships and aftermarket suppliers on the phone. Communicating with technicians to confirm what exactly they need, as well as being able to transfer that information over the phone to purchase the item was key.

I accurately scored tests from multiple rings with upwards of 100 competitors, as well as provided quality assurance with other members of the scoring department to ensure that all scores were correct, and were delivered in a timely manner.
