Vox Magazine has Contracted my team Blossom Media, to build a plan that will increase their newsletter subscribers. They hope to expand the variance in their readership and to provide a sustainable newsletter strategy that will further engage their Columbia audiences. In developing a plan that accomplishes this primary objective, Blossom has also identified catered newsletter verticals that are relevant to these audiences.Vox currently distributes the weekly “Vox Insider” newsletter that is circulated to subscribers. This ongoing email newsletter covers a variety of topics from local musicians, Columbia’s best eats and new art exhibits. Our goals were to expand on their current content and provide new ways to get more newsletter subscribers.Our secondary research gave us insight into how consumers view the Vox brand as well as their overall content preferences. We gathered data on what the consumers felt about different visual aesthetics, email marketing strategies and their priorities when subscribing to a newsletter. We identified the most viable target segments, which are the Columbia Connoisseur and Classic Constituent. This book aims to show Vox how we plan to use our findings to target these segments.During the plan development, we have provided recommendations for the specific newsletter challenge. However, our campaign includes a creative platform that can exist in more than one medium. Our big idea acknowledges cross-channel behaviors of the potential reader/subscriber that we are targeting with our campaign.
