Responsible for monitoring project activities, including inspections of equipment, compliance with specifications, procedures, drawings, submittals and ensuring inspections and tests are qualified and complete. Inspect and ensure the quality of work performed during daily activities of the overall construction on large scale wind projects. Included but not limited to; roads, environmental (SWPP), excavations, concrete, rebar, substations, transmission lines, underground utilities and wind turbine installation. Develop and maintain: Material Tracking log, Project Test and Inspection list, Concrete and Grout log, and Non-Conformance log. Ensure all materials associated with installation are in accordance with approved submittals and product data to ensure compliance with job site specifications. Perform surveying and necessary measuring to check line, grade and dimensions of roadway, and structural elements. Monitor and record scope of work being executed and prepare a comprehensive Daily Report with measurement of daily quantities completed and resources utilized. Prevent deficiencies through pre-construction quality control inspections. Effectively document approved field changes to incorporate in to red-line drawings. Coordinate and obtain required local, state, and federal permits. Act as the site representative ensuring construction complies with the QA/QC requirements. Interface with field superintendents to maintain an open line of communication to monitor job progress, schedules and subcontractor performance and coordinate the operation of the field through management of field personnel.
