Assisting OTR and working alongside physical/speech therapy disciplines to provide services that improve safety, independence, and function for residents at SNFs.

Completed Level II Fieldwork at this orthopedic outpatient clinic. Treated alongside Certified Hand Therapist for population with diagnoses of hand fractures, carpal tunnel syndrome, De Quervain's, tendon injuries, osteoarthritis, trigger finger, cerebral palsy, and other upper extremity conditions. Was able to experience various modalities that include: ultrasound, e-stim, TENS, and fluidotherapy. Provided manual therapy to treat edema and scarring and other conditions with use of Graston technique, retrograde massage, and kinesiotaping.

Completed Level II Fieldwork at this skilled nursing facility. Population included adults and elderly with various diagnoses such as strokes, traumatic brain injuries, amputations, Parkinson's disease, and dementia. Had experiences in using diathermy machine and documenting electronically. Collaborated with physical therapy and speech therapy practitioners.

Responsibilities include cashiering, stocking merchandise, maintaining a clean work space, and helping customers with anything else.
