About Sean Williamson

I have a specialist interest in neuro anaesthesia, paediatric anaesthesia and ophthalmic anaesthesia.I have been College Tutor in Anaesthesia as well as Foundation Programme Tutor prior to taking up Director of Postgraduate Medical and Dental Education in 2009.In 2013 I moved to management and taken up role of Anaesthesia and Theatres Chief of Service in a department with 75 consultants and 350 nursing and other healthcare staff.In 2016 I moved to the Medical Director’s team as Associate Medical Director with responsibility as Deputy Responsible Officer and Head of Appraisal & Revalidation. Having now returned to full time clinical practice I am the ultimate generalist!
