Over my 12+ years with Stantec my roles, responsibilities and skill set grew vastly including:- Team Lead - Oversaw a group of 11 professional roadway design engineers and technologists- Business Development - Developed and maintained relationships with clients, as well as led the pursuit of numerous roadway planning/design projects for a variety of clientele.- Technical Advisor - Provided technical expertise to staff and colleagues in the areas of traffic impact assessments, access management, functional/conceptual planning, functional/conceptual design, preliminary design and detailed design of roadways and interchanges.- Project Management - Led project teams in the delivery of a variety of projects ranging from traffic impact assessments, complex functional planning studies, and preliminary and detailed design for clients such as Alberta Transportation, the City of Edmonton, the City of Leduc, and private sector clients. - Project Engineer - Lead project engineer on dozens of projects, with a focus on planning and preliminary design. Projects included interchange studies, roadway realignments, corridor studies, twinning/widening, and access management in rural and urban settings.- Public Consultation - Significant experience in implementing and undertaking public consultation programs including council presentations, landowner/stakeholder meetings, and open houses.- Publications - Worked with clients in the preparation of guidelines, policies and procedures, including Alberta Transportation's Traffic Impact Assessment Guidelines, and their yet to be published Guidelines, Policies and Standards for Trails in Highway Rights-of-way.
