My passion has always been video games and rad digital stuff in general. While I was in high school I was massively inspired by my brother's incredible talent for digital-art and found myself learning how to program pointless but satisfying digital knick-knacks. My first experiments were hosted on an ancient platform known as My Space, and my generative Flash animations made my page blink and pop with radical colour. I wish I could go back and see that page somehow, though perhaps my weird animation-poetry fusion of that era is best appreciated as a distant memory.Navigating the tricky waters of my engineering degree, I was earning money as a freelance web developer having found that my hobbyist talent for Flash animation could be translated into hard cash. Eventually my nose followed the money into less exciting but more complex banking web-apps, and I became hooked on software development.So when my degree concluded and I was prepped for a career as a robotics engineer, I forgot all that and went into iOS development instead. A lengthly love affair ensued, and before I knew it I had traversed years and continents working in mobile app development.It's 2014 and I've just landed in my city of birth: London. I'm sleeping on my brother's couch and I'm starting a new job at an exciting new Mobile development agency in Old street, but my internal headline is the collaboration birthing betwixt my bro and and I - Tokyo 42.A year later and our multiplayer prototype is alive. We decide to form a company. SMAC Games is born.Since 2015 we've been blissfully working on indie games and learning the industry while we do it. It's a massively satisfying field, and we're beginning to see the true value in games beyond the initial "Make rad stuff" that started me along this path. Right now SMAC Games is working on it's second premium title, while I am working full time at Free Lives in Cape Town, South Africa
