Operates and maintains electrical power plants. Performs mechanical, electrical and instrumentation functions necessary to install and prepare power station equipment for initial start up. Analyzes plant equipment and system operating characteristics to determine operational condition. Repairs or overhauls generating equipment and associated systems components.Supervises the installation, operation or maintenance of prime power plants and associated systems and equipment. Directs preparation of power plant equipment for movement, storage and installation. Serves as technical inspector to determine faulty operation/maintenance practices. Determines and isolates complex malfunctions, utilizing diagnostic tests, and troubleshooting techniques. Determines repair/overhaul required, cost effectiveness, and method of accomplishment for power plant equipment and associated systems.

Understand and articulate Department of Defense (DOD) and Army policies concerning EEO. Assist the commander in EEO training that employs small-group facilitation methods like the consideration of others’ methodology. Recognize and assess indicators of institutional and individual discrimination in organizations. Recognize sexual harassment in both overt and subtle forms. Recommend appropriate remedies to eliminate and prevent unlawful discrimination and sexual harassment. Collect, organize, and interpret demographic data concerning all aspects of EEO climate assessment. Assist commanders in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the EEO program. Train unit EORs and institutional training course\service school instructors to assist commanders/commandants in meeting their EEO responsibilities. Organize or assist with training sessions that pertain to EEO, unlawful discrimination, prevention of sexual harassment, and the consideration of others methodology. Plan and help conduct executive seminars for senior leadership, on EEO action plans and affirmative actions, EEO, unlawful discrimination, the consideration of others methodology and the prevention of sexual harassment. Receive and assist in processing individual complaints of unlawful discrimination and sexual harassment in the informal stage and conduct EEO inquiries according to the commander’s guidance. Provide advisory assistance to commanders and investigating officers in the investigation and resolution of unlawful discrimination and sexual harassment complaints. Review and comment on investigative reports of EEO complaints for compliance with DOD and DA EEO policy and objectives. Conduct follow-up assessments of all formal EEO complaints. Periodically prepare reports and briefings for commanders and other staff agents on the unit’s EO Action Plan and other initiatives being done to improve or maintain the command climate.

Planned theatre-specific projects to update electrical theatre standards affecting the occupational safety and health of over 5000 military service members, Department of Defence contractors, and civilians.
