I worked with the Sammon Group in the role of Marketing Administrator and Executive Assistant. My role was to assist in implementing, maintaining and facilitating the Group's marketing plan in conjunction with the Business Development Team. I was also acting Executive Assistant to the Sammon Group Directors. This was multi-faceted role and one that I thoroughly enjoy despite my limited experience in the construction industry.As the Marketing Administrator I had responsibility for all areas of Social Media – during my time with the Sammon Group I focused on gaining greater online presence for the Group, which involved establishing and maintaining Sammon Group Facebook and Twitter profiles, as well as creating a Pinterest account to share archives of our previous work. I maintained the Sammon Group website – from sharing news and progress photos to keep our clients informed, to updating staff and promoting the group. The role gave me the opportunity to create external ad campaigns for the company, eg. CARA Magazine, as well as organise and facilitate submissions for sector awards.My role required constant liaising between both the office staff, management teams and construction personnel. The Bids and Marketing Department are a dynamic team and I was responsible for supporting them in all areas of administration. It has been a great learning experience, and I have benefitted from various social media courses I attended since while in the role.
