Supply Chain Manager
Current•Manages the daily operations of the supply chain team, which consists of all employees in the inventory management, purchasing, and production control departments. •Contributor to the Oracle Fusion ERP implementation project from the business unit's legacy system. •Manages the business unit’s inventory levels for several product line to ensure stock-outs are avoided and the plant can maximize production. •Forecasts materials and develops purchasing plans with suppliers to ensure the organization has the best product mix to satisfy demand and keep inventory levels as lean as possible. •Analyzes material spend data to identify where cost savings can be initiated. •Cultivates strong relationships with suppliers to foster collaboration and drive mutual success.•Negotiates with vendors to lower pricing, improve purchasing terms, and shorten lead times. •Implements lean initiatives and launched a Material Review Program to monitor and purge dead stock, excess, and obsolete materials. •Manages shipment requirements for all inbound materials and analyzes shipping costs with 3PLs. •Monitors container and shipment ETAs from major suppliers to establish a receiving plan with the supply chain team.•Ensures the quality of incoming inventory meets organizational standards and directs the arrangement of RMAs with suppliers. •Monitors scrap costs and implements quality initiatives to improve internal material handling processes. •Manages the purchase request program to ensure that all purchases are approved by the proper personnel, product specifications are correct, and the prices meet budget requirements. •Controls the manpower requirements of the supply chain team and works with HR to ensure the team is appropriately staffed in correlation with the organization’s seasonality curve. •Directly in charge of employee development plans, annual performance reviews, and payroll
