Sean Bourquin has been involved in the design, development, and product advancement of solar LED lighting technology for the last four years. Mr. Bourquin has played a key role in the development of solar LED area lighting products, and is currently the Product Manager for General Illumination with Carmanah Technologies Corp. Mr. Bourquin holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from the University of Victoria, specializing in systems engineering.With four years of experience engineering solar LED lighting products for general illumination applications, Mr. Bourquin has extensive technical knowledge of solar LED technology including where and how the technology is best applied. Mr. Bourquin is in direct communication with industrial designers, engineers, lighting professionals and end users on a daily basis and encounters the benefits and challenges of implementing solar LED technology on a first hand basis. His extensive knowledge of both the technology and the market, lend Mr. Bourquin unique expertise on technical and practical aspects of solar LED lighting. Mr. Bourquin is the Product Manager for the general illumination line of solar LED lighting products with Carmanah Technologies. His position sees him involved in product development from concept through to implementation, business case development and technical support of the product line. Mr. Bourquin has also played the role of both design engineer and sales engineer for solar LED lighting technology and as such, has developed a multi-level understanding of solar LED technology: its implementation, benefits, challenges and applications.

Embedded sysems deisgner working on controllers and VHF and UHF encrypted radios for low power/high reliability mountain top land mobile radio repeater applications. These systems were typically used by first responder and public safety agencies.I aslo worked to develop a VOIP/ROIP interface for base and repeater radio system interfaces and on a P25 next generation radio platform.

I worked as an electronics technician in the RADAR, SONAR an radio shops. Work included installing, repairing and maintaining various electronics systems on Canadian naval vessels stationed at CFB Esquimalt.
