Worked primarily on facilities designed to handle 5,000 BOPD and up to 15 MMSCFD:Develop scope and schedule of projects, secure funds with AFE, oversee engineering design, bid out and procure equipment and skilled labor force. Oversee project construction, cost and schedule. Lead walk-throughs with operations during construction and prior to hand over. Develop start up procedures and assist in start-up and commissioning. Assist in preparing yearly projects overall budget.Key Accomplishments:-Developed tool to help team prioritize projects based on OPEX reduction, determine scope of projects and forecast future projects.-Worked closely with operations staff to understand key challenges, improve safety and reliability of design, and gain their trust.-Led the equipment bidding and sourcing for all large projects for entire team which equated to approximately $35MM worth of equipment and instrumentation. Long-lead equipment and instruments were staged and ready to improve project schedules. Managed all change orders with equipment and instrumentation to apply lessons learned.-Assisted in bidding out mechanical construction and instrumentation and electrical construction contracts for an entire year to secure volume discounts and establish consistency from one job to the next.-Instrumental in establishing centralized H2S treating at central facilities for significant OPEX cost reduction. Worked with compressor vendors to provide units rated for H2S in timely manner and analyzed cost effectiveness of various H2S treatment options for each project. Implemented these systems into facility designs.
Production Engineer
Had a wide variety of experience as part of a lean staff in the early development of the Eagleford Shale. Responsibilities included:Production Optimization: Daily production monitoring, troubleshooting, data analysis and reporting. Worked with operations staff to determine operating parameters for wells to optimize production and EUR.Artificial Lift and Well-work: Developed AFE's, engineered designs, procedures and ordered equipment for production tubing, rod-pump, and plunger lift installation and repairs. Daily monitoring and troubleshooting of rod-pump systems. Helped develop safety systems and telemetry used on rod-pump systems through HAZOP review. Responsible to develop CAPEX and OPEX budgets for artificial lift systems. Production Chemicals: Worked with production chemical companies to improve reporting and compiled data for analysis. Led efforts to bid out production chemical business for all EagleFord Shale assets. Implemented standard Field Service Report to ensure continuity of data provided from all service providers and improve data analysis capabilities.Reservoir Engineering: Used RTA to compare completion type test pairs, operating strategies for producing wells and other data analysis. Prepared quarterly reserves. Prepared data used in regulatory permitting and reporting.
