Being born in Dublin and educated in the inner city, I feel very much a product of my surroundings, and believe I have been heavily influenced by its enriched history of the arts.Having always had a passion for drawing, acting, writing, and photography, at 16 years old, I decided my career and attended the National Film School IADT, where four years later I graduated with an Honours degree in Film and Television Production.My graduate film MARTIN (2008) won the ‘Tiernan Mc Bride award for Best Short Film’ at the Galway Film Fleadh and went on to screen at numerous festivals internationally and in the same year, was nominated for an IFTA (Irish Film and Television Award).In January 2009, I secured a place at the National Film & Television School in Beaconsfield (NFTS) to study for an MA in Fiction Directing. There, I wrote and directed four short films including a period western (THE PRIDE). Whilst studying & living in London, I secured numerous contracts to storyboard commercials for various production companies both in the UK and Ireland. As a commercials director, I am signed with Antidote in Dublin, and am currently pitching on numerous exciting campaigns.*****UPDATE (August 2014):I'm currently directing Commercials with ANTIDOTE and make Fashion Films, Theatre Promos and Music Videos through my small production company ELKFILM. I have just directed a Filmbase/RTÉ funded short film entitled AFTER (Produced by KENNEDY FILMS) which will have its Irish premiere at this years Galway Film Fleadh.
