In February 2020, after 5 years of being Chair of the Management Committee, I accepted an invitation to become a Director of the football club. I support on the Financial side, using my years of experience in Industry, and well as being involved in other Commercial and Operations decisions.

Littlehampton

My key role is to support by offering financial guidance to my allocated business areas which include IT, Legal & Operations (including Facilities, Sourcing, Quality and Store H&S) and perform relevant and timely analysis of financial data in order to inform the business decision making processes. Create reporting packs that are used for key financial presentations to the Executive Committee.Produce the presentations for the Budget & Trend meetings and lead the presentations directly to the CEO, CFO, COO, as well as the relevant Executive member.In addition to the skills and experience from previous roles, I have enhanced my Retail and Commercial exposure. During my time at TBS, I have looked after the Customer, Digital and Retail Academy functions, as well as Finance, HR and Office of the CEO.For Capex projects, I work with the Project Management team to understand the key objectives of the project, to understand the benefits for the relevant department as well as The Body Shop International. I review the ROI for all projects, as well as manage the risks from any on-going opex. From January 2015, for two years, I supported the Retail Academy, which provides the training for the Store Staff, as well as providing key applications that help with the Store experience. I also helped manage the budget for the 'Mystery Shopper' program.From February 2015 my role expanded to include Finance & Legal cost centres. Work with the various cost centre managers to control budget & understand future needs. Lead the recharging process of Audit, Tax Transfer & Insurance cross-charges across the International & Global Finance markets.Throughout my time at The Body Shop, I have had great exposure to the needs of a Retail company & have felt my skills & experiences have strengthened.In 2020 I volunteered to be a Super User for the new S4/HANA platform, involved in scoping the UAT test scripts and in 2021 to support by training our users on the new functionality.

Horsham

My key role was to manage the Horsham NIBR budget as well as producing accurate monthly forecasts. This is achieved by working with both local and global stakeholders, to understand their business priorities and guiding them in the ways to achieve this.Business Partnering : Have required skills to influence decision making processes, with technical expertise. Experienced in challenging assumptions, as well as managing risks and opportunities. Strong analytical and communication skills ,coupled with proven expertise in meeting tight global and local deadlines. Project Management: Proactively identify potential issues, alert key stakeholders and take actions to prevent derailment or deviation from plan, identify key learning and apply to future initiatives to drive continuous improvement. In 2013 I had an integral role in the Intranet & Share point project which redesigned the Finance pages and made them much more interactive for the visitors to the sitesAccounting: Ensure compliance of processes with accounting and reporting guidelines, apply standard accounting concepts and techniques.Fixed Assets : Principal creator and disposer of Fixed Assets on UK site. Tasks include depreciation, impairment and a range of reportingFRA Accounts : Completed site Corporation Tax pack for a number of years, as well as Statutory Accounts for UK business.Fully embraced the New Culture that was starting on site, which included getting involved in a number of cross-department initiatives and formulating with my BPA colleague ideas to highlight the role of Finance Team in the Organisation.

Worked primarily in Accounts Payable, but with additional duties supporting the Senior Finance Officer with accounts work, including journals, accruals, system work.
