Sean leads Threat Ideation for Meta's Security Policy team in the Trust and Safety organization. He manages scenario planning and product counseling to help the company get ahead of adversarial threats to elections and civic events, risk to the safety of targeted communities, and the integrity of the Meta apps and services. He contributes to a variety of cross-company initiatives to understand and address risk, including rapid response to global emergencies and red teaming the company's AI systems.Sean previously served as the founding director of the Citizen Clinic and as a Research Fellow at the Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity at UC Berkeley. Sean has also worked with the Center for Democracy and Technology, the United States Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, and The Red Consultancy.Sean completed his Masters of Public Administration as a Federal Scholar for Service with the NYU Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in Security and Privacy. He attended the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, where he was a Research Fellow with the Governance Lab, and served on the staff of the Wagner Review. Sean received his undergraduate degree in politics from the University of California at Santa Cruz.
