About Sean Buehler
It is my firmest belief that a life worth living is one that gives selflessly to others. I want my life to be defined by how many people's lives I've made better, not by how much money I've earned. Over the years, I've gained experience in broad range of leadership positions dealing with everything from athletics to technology. However, all of those positions were within organizations that hold a similar foundational philosophy: service to others.Although I began my college career pursuing a business degree, I came to realize I desired a more tangible altruism, and a passion for medicine and healthcare that had always been present in the back of my mind finally forced its way out. In the fall of 2014, I began Pre-Medical coursework as well as began to pursue a degree in Public Health. In the fall of 2018, I started medical school, and hope to use my unique combination of public health knowledge and medical skill to leave a positive mark on the world.I also believe that physicians should be leaders in their communities. This not only improves their systems-based thinking but can improve overall relationships between the medical system and the broader community in which it operates. I sit on the Board of Directors of two organizations: Beacon, Inc - a multi-tiered comprehensive anti-poverty operation, and Science on Tap, Inc - a nonprofit science education initiative I founded in 2016.
