Rio Communications changed name to Rio Networks. Functions remain the same.

After a failed merger between ClipperNet (former employer) and Rio, I migrated to Rio in late 2000. At this time, Rio was transitioning from a dialup-based ISP to a full facilities-based CLEC. I helped build out portions of Rio's network from the ground up and shortly thereafter assumed full responsibility of Rio's entire data network and began extensive upgrades and modernization of the network architecture that continue to this day.Today I am focused on bringing Rio's voice and data network to the next level to provide new services that will benefit our customers.

Helped architect, maintain and enhance a fault-tolerant microwave WAN to provide high speed internet services in the late 90s before WiFi became prevalent. Every link was carefully engineered for optimal performance. I was proactively hands on in every aspect of the company including software development, network design and even climbing towers to install new microwave gear.

Maintained network and computing resources. Assisted with electronics troubleshooting of broadcast equipment.
