Created reconciliation guidance and Excel models, directed efforts of team members, and performed deep dive analysis on claims populations. - Executed a current state assessment and developed an initial work plan to support M&A financial integration planning efforts for two publicly traded airlines. Highlighted alignment or significant differences in business and IT controls, SOX compliance activities, and financial operations. Delivered summary recommendations and key insights to senior management. - Managed day-to-day operations of a team of six staff members to deliver internal audit outsourcing and SOX Readiness services to an established outdoor retailer. Performed control testing for a publicly-traded tech company focused on cloud-based practice management services for providers. Led a team of six peers to organize and execute a benefit concert that raised $3,000 for Gilda’s Club Seattle. Activities included obtaining sponsorships from national and local businesses, booking musical artists and a venue, and formulating a multi-faceted marketing strategy. This endeavor was the result of John Castle’s “Creating a Company” two-quarter long entrepreneurship class at UW.
