Technical advisor to the Chief Engineer of a large communications organization in the Federal Government.

Managed the implementation of a business intelligence (BI) and data visualization tool for a US Federal agency. We developed new capabilities for users to go beyond traditional reporting to identify and highlight trends and create new analysis such as pattern recognition, correlations, forecasting, what-if analysis, and dashboards all in graphical formats that provide our clients with the ability to capture insights in visual "stories".Managed a team supporting CFO Data Operations and Services. I led an effort to independently evaluate technical solutions to support current and future business needs. We accomplished this by working with the client and additional stakeholders to document current business problems along with anticipated business needs to develop the business requirements. We then used this list to formulate the requirements, prioritize them by business importance, and find potential solutions to evaluate. We then briefed senior CFO leadership with our analysis to support their decision making. We integrated the approved initiative(s) into the CFO portfolio and managed the change processes to support the business environment.As a subject matter expert in data integration and data insights, I was brought into a federal agency’s CFO to design and develop an integrated capability to maintain financial data elements across all of their core and feeder financial systems in order to provide consistent and accurate financial reporting. To solve this problem, I first developed a long-term data quality strategy to ensure the client’s new budget structure was being used properly by their finance officers. Then, I developed and delivered a data quality solution that leveraged data mining and machine learning to understand, identify, and highlight potential misuse of the budget structure and alert the CFO for remediation.

I worked with senior leaders of a large telecommunications client to understand their goals, create the strategy for achieving those goals, and then supported the execution of that strategy. I led the design and delivery of numerous data driven solutions to give us near real time performance information on how well my client was executing on their strategic goals and objectives. I then built models to help predict, forecast, and optimize expected business outcomes. My team led multiple transformation efforts aimed at optimizing these business outcomes.

I was the Deputy Pilot Project Manager for the CFO of a Federal Government Agency to identify a standardized performance management solution for the Intelligence Community. I led the development of the pilot's project plan including the work-breakdown structure (WBS) with associated milestones. In addition, I led working group sessions with performance management experts across the community to collect and weigh the requirements for the performance management solution. I quantified the solutions against the business needs and then briefed executive leadership to support their decision-making.

I supported the implementation engagements of a financial system (Momentum Financials) for multiple federal agencies. On these engagements, I led teams in analyzing business needs and then introducing new business functionality to clients to meet these needs. Lastly, I presented additional financial management solutions to senior leadership to enhance the client’s capabilities.

I supported various network connectivity issues to the CACI network. I was responsible for guiding and training engineers on problem analysis to address their issues. As part of this role, I identified common issues and developed standard operating procedures (SOP’s) to simplify and streamline the troubleshooting process. Also, I developed and presented business cases to senior leadership on production line technologies. These presentations led directly to a reduction in operating costs.

As a Functional System Analyst for GSA’s Federal Procurement Data System-Next Generation (FPDS-NG), I interfaced with multiple federal clients to understand each agency’s unique requirements for standardized reporting to Congress. I designed and managed the development team on the implementation of these reports into FPDS-NG. Upon implementation, I led multiple classroom sessions on FPDS-NG functionality for system users.
