• Performed any assigned duties from superiors with strict adherence to safety regulations and military standards and policies.• Supervised 20-30 Marines in conducting day-to-day maintenance and repair operations.• Ascertained Marines properly procured, handled, stowed, and disposed of any hazardous materials as per OSHA instructions and military directives.• Ensure proper testing of AC/DC circuits and components of malfunctioning RF telecommunications equipment to isolate sources of malfunctions. This was achieved via the use of test meters, circuit diagrams, polarity probes, and other hand tools.• Oversaw the proper repair or replacement of faulty equipment such as defective and damaged telecommunication wires, cables, power supplies, switching system components, UHF/VHF/HF SATCOM radios, and antennas.• Approved changes to circuit layouts, work orders or diagrams.• Demonstrated equipment to customers, outline use, and fielded inquiries or complaints.• Assessed test readings, computer printouts, and trouble reports to determine equipment repair needs and required repair methods.• Charged with performing and supervising installation, alignment, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of electronic assemblies and subassemblies, fiber optic cables, and system software for the radio and telecommunications equipment used within the Marine Air Command and Controls Systems (MACCS). This included the Tactical Air Operations Module (TAOM), Air Defense Communications Platform (ADCP), Communications Interface System (AN/MRQ-12), and Communications Air Support Central (AN/TSQ-207).• Maintained the entire communications system, from the headset and microphones to antennae.
