Accountable for the top and bottom-line P&L for the web and app-based money transfer business of customers sending from the U.S. to their receivers in Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and the Caribbean – a roughly $200 million annual business. Managing the business as a leader, I developed my junior direct report into a mission-critical contributor who has earned multiple promotions and together, along with the rest of our team, we improved customer retention and acquisition by implementing millions of dollars in price reductions and leading the go-to-market launch of new payout products. I also lead UX testing on my team for mobile app updates, ensuring proper functionality and partnering with Engineering on enhancements.

Responsible for partial top-line P&L accountability of the retail and digital (web and app-based) money transfer business of customers sending from the U.S. to receivers in Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and the Caribbean – a roughly $500 million annual business. I partnered with colleagues globally to size revenue opportunities, conduct category analysis and build business cases used to support funding for new products and/or existing product enhancements. My passion for leadership began in this role as I successfully managed a team of community consultant contractors nationwide, converting several to full-time hires. I administered a multi-million-dollar grassroots marketing budget supporting branded presence at 50+ community events nationwide and executing 30+ customer appreciation events at key agent locations.

Managing day-to-day product, pricing, operations, business and sales support for the retail money transfer business of customers sending from the U.S to Southeast Asian markets, my responsibilities soon grew in scope to include European, African and Middle Eastern regions as I learned to develop and executed go-to-market product and pricing strategies for key markets in these regions. Tactically, I produced and presented product briefs to marketing teams, agencies and company leadership detailing value proposition, functionality, pricing and distribution tactics; I wrote training documents based on these briefs for our national sales and agent management teams.
