As a member of the Executive Committee of the World Economic Forum, for nearly six years, Sean had executive oversight and responsibility for Food Systems, and at different times, for the Sustainable Development Investment Partnership (SDIP), the Tech for SDGs portfolio, the Nature portfolio, the Climate Governance Initiative, the Hoffman Tech and Environment PhD Fellows, and Civil Society Engagement. Sean played an instrumental role in the development of the UN Food Systems Summit, the establishment of the Food Action Alliance and establishment of Food Innovation Hubs in India, Colombia and Vietnam.As the Co-Chair ad interim, together with the OECD, of the Sustainable Development Investment Partnership SDIP, Sean oversaw several blended financing sprints including the establishment of the Asia Energy Transition Mechanism initially focused three Southeast Asian countries and the Country Financing Roadmaps for the SDGs for both Ghana and Saint Lucia.

Emerging areas of focus included data and digital, scientific and technological, national and regional innovation ecosystems, as well as societal and institutional innovation models, including traditional and Indigenous knowledge.
