Appointed to a new position within the Office of the Fire Commissioner to lead the rollout, implementation, and management of a new software solution for the Detroit Fire Department's entire 1100+ personnel across multiple divisions. This new solution encompasses scheduling, personnel management, incident reporting, and credential tracking. Previously reliant on manual and sometimes non-existent processes and siloed divisions, new processes were introduced to reduce the inefficient paper-based methods of the past, resulting in not only efficiency and cost-savings to the department, but also safety and accountability. In addition to the defined responsibilities of this role, additional opportunity was sought and delegated, leading to the oversight of the roll out of a cross-department team that implemented a pre-incident planning survey to the department, collaborating with field personnel to tailor a survey that encourages compliance and completion, while exceeding National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and Insurance Services Office (ISO) standards. Additionally tasked with oversight of the department's drivers license database for daily eligibility/validity checks with the State of Michigan Secretary of State office, as well as leading the formation of and maintenance of a database of all automated external defibrillators (AED) found within the city limits via PulsePoint AED.

Calls dispatched via computer-aided dispatch and over-the-air on the 800 Mhz digital-trunked Michigan Public Safety Communication System to personnel. Notification of sick calls, significant incidents to specific department personnel. Provided emergency medical care in the workplace as needed. Received commissioner’s citation for exemplary work during a citywide emergency event in 2017. Consistently recognized as the fastest time-to-dispatch, with high accuracy and logical deployments of resources.
