Airframe Lead for Cessna SEP, CJ525, and Mustang aircraft, along with 5 variants of these aircraft, spanning 16 certifications.Met weekly with OEMs as the point of contact for software engineering for the airframe.Developed custom displays software for airframe EIS and synoptic pages based on the decomposition of the airframe's system requirements.Worked directly with OEMs to define system requirements and tests to meet DO-178B/C specifications.Worked directly with our certification team and test flight pilots to configure and troubleshoot the airframe, including onsite debugging through monitoring of ethernet traffic using a mix of custom tools and Wireshark.Technical investigation of airframe integration issues to identify root cause and steer direction to the resolution of the development, certification, and field issues.Mentored interns and new hires on a yearly basis into their new roles. Involved modification of existing architecture while designing and developing new functionality desired by the customer. Lead 2 contractors through the efforts and successfully delivered the 1st program 7 months ahead of schedule and the 2nd program 10 months ahead of schedule.Updated low level graphics drivers for new display hardware.Enhanced testing framework in python to allow for reusable components that could be stacked together to test various logic cells of CAS alerts. This greatly simplified the construction and modification of test plans for CAS alerts on the system, of which there were over 170.Lead effort to decompose high level system requirements for a major program's EICAS system. Lead a team of 3 other System Engineers to decompose customer's requirements into DOORs.
