Having completed my PhD in Environmental Science, which has focussed on the mechanisms of salinisation of surface water and groundwater resources in the Bengal Delta, I am now working part time at the University of Portsmouth whilst exploring opportunities through my consultancy, or full time roles in the geoenvironmental industry, hydrogeology and integrated water management.I have a strong interest in environmental processes, focussed on the highly integrated relationships between the challenges of climate change, anthropogenic activity, hydrology and hydrogeology. Key areas of experience include coastal and inland tidal water-level change, the impacts of climate change on surface water salinity in deltaic areas, the interaction of policy and trans-national water management on coastal river salinity, and the impacts and evolution of groundwater salinity at local and regional scales.I have a proven track record in research, with publications on palaeoclimate and contemporary changes in tidal water levels in the Bengal Delta, with a successful history working both individually and within a team on a variety of projects. These include integrated wellsite operations and shallow borehole drilling programmes which integrated geophysics and groundwater sampling.Previous experience includes biostratigraphy and wellsite geology, working principally in the Middle East, North Sea, North & East Africa, with responsibility for biosteering horizontal multilateral wells, wellsite geology and interpretation of MWD/LWD log data.
