•Operate the PacifiCorp transmission system in a safe and reliable manner, including emergency operations and black start restoration.•Monitor and direct normal and emergency switching of Main Grid facilities, any interconnected transmission and transmission connected to generation. •Operate within NERC/WECC Compliance Monitoring and RMS guidelines. •Monitor and maintain paths within Operating Security Limits. •Make internal notification to appropriate parties according to current company policies and external notifications per NERC/WECC.•Maintain voltages at prescribed levels.•Monitor all alarms in the AOR (Areas of Responsibility) and take action to correct alarm condition.•Monitor actual interchange telemeter for errors and make corrections as necessary.•Make the required notifications of system conditions to the appropriate parties during normal and emergency situations.•Accident reporting and building security monitoring. •Complete Emergency Action Plan tests for hydro facilities.•Operate the phase shifter per established procedure

•Monitor interconnection or transfer paths and make schedule curtailments as necessary to ensure that the net schedule over an interconnection or transfer path shall not exceed the operating transfer capability limit, regardless of the prevailing actual power flow on the interconnection or transfer path. •Monitor operation of the generation function within NERC/WECC reliability standards and procedures. •Monitor and adhere to Control Performance, Disturbance control Standards and Operating Reserve obligations.•Monitor and direct recovery from DCS contingencies using the NWPP Reserve Sharing Program.•Issue directives to generation desk to ensure compliance of NERC operating standards. •Monitor and implement the real-time ETAG approval process using the OATI webTrans program.•Make internal notification to appropriate parties according to current company policies.•Make external notifications per NERC/WECC reliability standards, including posting emergency outage notifications and security events. •Process real-time Oasis User Interface. •Implement Market and Transmission Schedules as appropriate.•Confirm next hour scheduled interchange with adjacent control areas. •Monitor webSAS and adhere to the WECC Unscheduled Flow Procedures. •Monitor the WECC WIT to ensure that actual interchange, schedule interchange and inadvertent interchange are confirmed. •Review COMPASS outages for path restrictions.•Operate phase shifters and reactive resources to maintain system power flow and voltage.
