I used a phylogenic tree to efficiently explore and test composite materials in a short time frame, developed a proprietary molding process, and solved complex 3D ergonomic challenges. The armor has been adopted by F.B.I. Hostage Rescue Team, the Transportation Safety Administration, Federal Air Marshalls, and the U.S. Department of State.Integrated Dive Suit - In a research and development effort for the U.S. Navy SEAL’s, I developed a diving system which leveraged the protection of heavy salvage suits into a free-swimming drysuit. The mask and suit are integrated, allowing full mobility of the diver while increasing comfort, warmth, endurance, and safety. I worked directly with Navy divers to make changes to the system to accommodate existing diving procedures and emergency drills. For example, the diver can safely remove the mask to buddy-breath or to vent fumes, and then re-attach the mask and purge it without surfacing.
