For over seven years, I was a member of the PR team for AXS TV and its sister network HDNET MOVIES working on entertainment, music and sports programming – including live sports and concert broadcasts; live studio talk shows; talent-driven original unscripted documentary & interview series; celebrity hosted special events; and acquired movies, documentaries & other programming.Main Roles and Responsibilities:Developed strategy and executed publicity campaigns to launch new series, maintain ongoing weekly/seasonal programs, build talent profiles, raise brand awareness, and promote live and special events.Day-to-day press responsibilities include pitching and managing media schedules for talent, writing press releases and other materials (executive/talent bios, talking points, TV listings highlights, etc), managing & distributing media assets, building custom press coverage analysis & clipping reports, and building & maintaining an extensive media contact database.At live events and show tapings - host media and create press opportunities ranging from set visits and press seating, to pre and post-event press conferences, press junkets, media tours, conference calls and media round table events.Coordinate press efforts with a variety of teams across the networks, including individual talent & talent management/publicists, programming executives, series producers, social media & marketing teams, affiliate relations & legal.

• Developed three-year strategy to integrate social media into college recruiting by targeting key stakeholders, identifying social media platforms, and developing a strategic timeline• Collaborated with the college recruiting team to design and manage two Twitter campaigns from definition to completion, growing followers.• Managed daily social media activity by creating visual and written content and content calendars which resulted in better organization and management of on-line content delivery• Developed creative methods of recording social media data using HootSuite and Excel to develop best practices, deliver comprehensive reports to management and identify areas of opportunity• Developed and lead Twitter training for the university and campus recruiters, which resulted in the team effectively using Twitter while on campus and adopting the best practices I developed• Organized student networking event for a student organization with SCE employees at one of our facilities, which resulted in over 50 attendees, successful speed networking, and education through a tour of our facilities• Established a LinkedIn Alumni group and managed member outreach and engagement which resulted in the group growing to over 1,400 members and created a strong pool of talent for future recruiting• Wrote e-mail communications for student outreach regarding Twitter campaigns and chats which resulted in widespread awareness of our social media efforts and a stronger response to our on-line events

• Wrote articles for “Collins” magazine, which resulted in nine published articles in two magazine issues• Provided writing, design, and copy editing services for all out-going publications, including press releases, online publications, brochures, and fliers• Wrote, designed, and curated content for a weekly newsletter, which was distributed to the college community to communicate campus news and events• Managed and created content for the college and alumni association social media outlets, including two Facebook pages, one Twitter handle and a Google calendar, which connected key stakeholders to the campus community• Performed on-line research resulting in a media & industry contact list of over 300 individuals• Reported directly to the Director of Communications and External Relations for the college
