During my time at GWP I gained valuable experience as an associate architect working on a wide range of buildings in both the public and private sectors. They included race courses, universities and museums. Dealing with fellow architects, space planners, interior designers and clients throughout the UK really honed my people skills. In fact, today I’d say that communicating effectively with clients and planners is one of the key strengths of my work as a partner at Walker Graham Architects.

This job gave me a solid grounding in working on unusual projects. I juggled a mixture of residential extensions, commercial conservations (scheduled ancient monuments into offices!), ecclesiastical repairs, art galleries, new school competitions and housing developments.All great experience for my current architects practice!
