Sean is an award-winner film director, screenwriter, producer, writer and actor. He first came to international attention when he co-wrote and played the lead role in the award-winning PI, the debut film by longtime collaborator Darren Aronofsky. Gullette's own debut as writer-director, TRAITORS, made its world premiere at the 2013 Venice Days festival, where it won a Special Mention, and screened in competition at Stockholm, Marrakech, Dubai; the Tribeca Film Festival and the Gijon Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award. He executive produced the landmark doc series "Black Gold" with Protozoa, TIME Studios, for Paramount+.Recently Gullette, a member of the DGA, directed two episodes of the ABC series "1969." Gullette is in development on UPLAND, based on the novel "Nip the Buds, Shoot the Kids" by Nobel-prize winner Kenzaburo Oe. Also on his slate is TANGIER, an international thriller.Gullette co-founded KGB magazine as editor and publisher. He founded The 212 Society, a nonprofit supporting cultural and social projects in Morocco, and serves on the Board of the American School of Tangier.
