Sean provides strategic project development counsel to clients involved in a broad range of renewable energy projects with a specialization in the development, drafting, negotiation, and finalization of key project agreements.Sean assists clients through the complete lifecycle of renewable energy projects, from the initial stages of development and construction, to revenue generation, and the daily operation and maintenance of those facilities.Drawing from over fifteen years of litigation and trial experience, Sean and the team of project attorneys proactively identify potential issues and safeguard clients’ interests in crafting and negotiating critical agreements. His informed project counseling aims to resolve disputes early and efficiently, preventing delays and ensuring smooth project progression.Additionally, Sean offers pre-litigation claims counseling and a range of dispute resolution services, including resolution of change order disputes for requested schedule and cost relief, operation and maintenance services claims, and warranty claims. Sean also assists clients with critical project documentation, including notices and responses. When formal dispute resolution or litigation becomes necessary, Sean seamlessly integrates his litigation team to counsel clients through trials, arbitrations, mediations, dispositive motions, settlements, and appeals.Proven Experience: Sean has served as project counsel to a variety of developers, owners, and prime contractors on varied projects and industries. His practice focuses on transactions and project counseling, but he routinely draws from his many years of litigation experience to enhance the strategic advice he provides. Sean has first-chaired 34 trials, 12 for Holland & Hart clients, and another 22 during his secondment as a special prosecutor with the Denver City Attorney's office, including 12 jury and 10 bench trials. Sean has also successfully represented clients in appellate matters in Colorado at the state and federal levels, including Rule 106 appeals.
