Sean possesses nearly three decades of experience in the aviation industry, encompassing roles within airlines, ground handling companies, and airport authorities.Prior to joining the Airport Authority of Hong Kong (AAHK), Sean dedicated over ten years to the airline and ground handling sector. His career commenced as an operations supervisor in multiple departments at British Caledonian Airways. Subsequently, he served as a flight attendant at Northwest Airlines for one year before assuming a leadership position at Hong Kong International Airport Services (HIAS), a ground handling company situated at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). In his capacity as the head of the Planning and Standards Department, Sean oversaw the provision of esteemed, efficient services while spearheading innovation and technical advancements to enhance offerings for client airlines. Moreover, he was appointed as a training instructor by Continental Airlines and represented the Airline Operators Committee in the establishment and proposal of the Minimum Connecting Time (MCT) at HKIA.Throughout the majority of his career, Sean has been affiliated with the Airport Authority Hong Kong, where he held a range of positions encompassing terminal management, baggage handling, and comprehensive oversight of airport operations. In this capacity, he assumed responsibility for the overall command, control, coordination, and crisis management at HKIA, supervising up to 400 operations staff across various departments, including airfield, information technology, landside, security, technical services, and terminal. Furthermore, he was seconded to Shanghai Hongqiao and Hangzhou International Airport to facilitate the smooth commissioning of new terminal operations.
