Java programmer for the Joint Force Projection (JFP) development team. Developed a United States Message Text Format (USMTF) parsing tool that detects and parses free text messages from the Defense Messaging System (DMS) and stores the data into both a relational database and XML format. Designed the database structure that stores the parsed USMTF message. Utilized J2EE patterns such as the singleton, factory, service locator, and active domain object patterns to build a scalable parsing tool. Responsiblities included tracking problem report progress, processing of software waivers, and development of system release documentation CD’s. Developed the rich internet application Quicklinx, automating much of the tasks that were assigned to the production branch.
