Currently leading a team of front-end web, mobile, and firmware engineers using React/Next.JS/typescript, Swift, Kotlin, and C++ to build Sonos Pro, which empowers Sonos’ business customers. I managed software development teams responsible for building the UI for Sonos' controller apps on iOS, Android, Mac and Windows.

* Built a localized, cloud-based, map-driven app for Disneyland Paris which allows 50,000 daily patrons to find attractions, services, get up-to-date wait times and plan their trip.* Created a multi-language CoreData and cloud-sync system.* Upgraded app to use modular, configurable architecture for use with other Disney resorts.* Collaborated with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones to coordinate testing and debug service issues.* Led a team of four developers, performed code reviews and architecture design.

* Led the iOS dev team for Julep’s eCommerce and subscription management app with over 21,000 MAUs.* Managed three contractors and one full time engineer, conducted performance reviews, mentored and developed a performance improvement plan.* Coordinated with leads from server and web development teams to deliver cross-functional mobile and web features.* Established a continuous integration system and test-driven development practices.* Collaborated with business owners and product managers to define, size/scope, and prioritize features.

* Led the iOS dev team for Haiku Deck’s award-winning presentation app with over 1 million downloads.* Instituted test-driven development methodology and established a continuous integration system.* Led product planning, acted as scrum master, and coordinated deliverables between server and web teams.* Re-architected the app’s data model, CoreData layer, and REST interface, increasing app performance and reducing crashes by 90%.* Designed a system for uploading and downloading images while the app is backgrounded.

* Managed the development of Rhapsody’s mobile apps for iOS, serving over 300,000 paid subscribers.* Built a development team from the ground up to include three full time engineers and four contractors, with a mix of local, remote and off-shore.* Directed a major rewrite and redesign of Rhapsody’s flagship mobile app, added in-app purchase and expanded support to 19 countries.* Shipped Rhapsody Concerts, a location-aware concert discovery and music mashup app.* Developed an SDK for integrating Rhapsody’s music service into other iOS apps.* Collaborated with BMW to integrate Rhapsody into BMW and MINI head unit systems. * Mentored junior developers and assisted all team members with goal setting and career development.* Performed weekly one-on-one meetings with reports and regular performance reviews.* Defined job requirements and led the screening, interviewing and hiring of candidates.* Balanced dependencies from multiple teams and timezones.* Architected, implemented, and maintained product features, performed code reviews, profiled app performance, wrote unit tests, documented architecture, team processes, and best practices.

* Led the development of the Rhapsody iPhone app.* Managed development of the Rhapsody web browser plug-ins for Windows, Mac and Linux.* Led the development team for the RealPlayer for Linux and Enterprise RealPlayer and Administrator.

* Assisted in the development and maintenance of the Ark Navigator productivity app.

* Created a library for digitally signing medical records using RSA public key encryption.
