Reviewed and conducted literature search for magnetite deposition and precipitation for nuclear reactor heat exchange systems. Performed experimental tests and data collection on simulated heat exchanger loops with a high-degree of safety precautions. Analyzed and performed model calculations on collected data. I initially worked with a team to perform experiments and then worked my last two months mostly independently. Exercised regular safety checks and precautions while working in the lab. Performed monthly supervisor check-ins to discuss and report findings and problems. Presented findings in a presentation to colleagues and fellow researchers and wrote a final report detailing my activities and findings.
