Air Force Technical Applications Center (Aftac), Patrick Afb, Fl

Led team of 150 engineers, technicians and Mission Commanders operating and maintaining the GRAY STAR and COBRA KING ship-borne radar systems. Oversaw Joint Chiefs of Staff-directed OLYMPIC TITAN and Missile Defense Agency collections with $2B in ship and, until recently, land-based radar sensors. Coordinated with worldwide mission partners for seamless integration of national directives and taskings. Further, I coordinated with unified commands, numbered naval fleets and external agencies to ensure required personnel, funding, and equipment was in place. Assessed operations requirements and assisted in development of test support procedures.

Air Force Technical Applications Center (Aftac), Patrick Afb, Fl

Supervised Air Force and civilian analysts operating, organizing and sustaining the $1.3B US Nuclear Detonation Detection System (USNDS). Modeled and reported Nuclear Detonation System coverage and system status to 10 government organizations, updated national decision makers daily and helped shape US policy. In addition, this branch monitored and ensured the state of health for 200 sensors on 38 satellites and provided guidance on satellite constellation futures. This branch is the USNDS community focal point, acting as a liaison to Air Force Space Command, US Strategic Command, numerous National Laboratories, numerous outside agencies and 2 AFTAC Detachments.

Program Element Monitor for 12 major MILSATCOM programs valued over $32B and controlled an annual budget of $510M. Managed a team tasked with building operation concepts, classification guides and Internation Partner Memorandums of Agreement. Branch was the space operations inteface bewteen requirements, acquisitions and command staffs to ensure military communications were available at all times to US military stationed around the world. As Branch Chief, I was Headquarter's MILSATCOM Operations representative to Air Force Headquarters, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, National Reconnaissance Office, National Security Agency, Defense Information Systems Agency, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the US Navy and Congress.

Kabul, Afghanistan

Directly responsible for establishment of the Counter-IED Ministerial Development Plans for the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan's Ministry of Defense and Ministry of the Interior. Oversaw the development of and numerous revisions to the Afghanistan National Army General Staff's C-IED Directorate personnel authorizations. Provided management and oversight of Afghan National Police and Afghan National Army programs for developing Explosive Ordnance Disposal and C-IED training for new personnel.

Wonju, Republic Of Korea

Commander of both USAF Detachment 452 and the Wonju Air Station. Led 11 personnel in charge of executing our national nuclear treaty monitoring mission requirements. Responsible for operation and maintenance of 28 remote seismic sites and 19 separate communications sites in a 600 square mile region of South Korea. Director of day-to-day operations, logistics, and support functions for the USAF's second largest seismic installation.

Senior military officer directing mission support operations for shipborne radar system valued at $1B. Led a team of over 150 operators, engineers and technicians ensuring system availability. Ensured system capable of fulfilling Joint Chiefs of Staff and Missile Defense Agency directed collection taskings. Coordinated with unified commands, numbered naval fleets and external agencies to ensure required personnel, funding, and equipment was in place. Assessed operations requirements and developed test support procedures.

Developed and reviewed Primary Military Education (PME) curriculum used by more than 2,900 AF Captains and Civilians annually. Responsible for lesson plan development and materials for the warfighting portion of Squadron Officer School curricula. Intructed and assisted 41 faculty members by providing expertise and direction, ensured teaching and evaluation methods standardization related to AF warfighting capabilities, AF and joint doctrine, and AF organization curricula. Served as escort to SOC guest lecturers and distinguished visitors.

Led training division tasked with overseeing development of training materials and instruction of crew certification and proficiency. Led development of initial and recurring unit qualification training courses for four positions. Managed individual, recurring and supplemental training programs for mission operations positions. Coordinated mission and maintenance between 13 satellite operation centers and 18 antenna systems stationed around the globe.
