Intune Networks developed and manufactured the world’s first optical burst switch network. The role of the photonics team was to develop and increase the optical capabilities of the system and provide product support to our contract manufactures, internal colleagues and customersAs a senior engineer on the Intune Networks Photonics team, I was responsible for designing, implementing and deploying a complete optical test and opto-hardware integration solution for the optical fabric switch that forms the core of the iVX8000 product built in Intune Networks. - Used National Instruments LabVIEW software to design, modify and run programs that perform calibration, optimization and test functions utilizing hardware and instrumentation such as optical spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, lasers, variable optical attenuators, wavelength selective switches, erbium doped fiber amplifiers and standard optical switches. - Wrote and maintained test specification documentation in order to maintain program stability, repeatability and cross functional team comprehension and handover.- Developed optical component functionality regression tests using a crontab of python scripts to run on the most recent hardware and software releases - Develop, maintain and update the optical python code as necessary.

Whilst with Benetel, I developed, implemented and deployed full ATE systems based on customer requirements and fixed deadlines.- Design, development, implementation and test of the WCDMA Fully Automated System Test 3Gpp compliance product developed by Benetel. - 10.5GHz wireless sensor medical product algorithm implementation and development of full anechoic chamber test system featuring stepper motor, linear slide and horn antenna.- Development and test of ATE function test system for Set Top Box manufacturer and deployment in contract manufacturer based in Thailand.

As an RF Test Engineer with TDK, I developed test solutions for the New Products division for existing and emerging wireless applications. - Developed and implemented a Bluetooth module test system.- Successful revision of previous WLAN module test system resulting in reduced cycle, error reduction and resource extrication.- Created WLAN and bluetooth test plans resulting in on-time delivery.- Implemented a WLAN linux driver demonstration system with Cambridge Silicon Radio.

I led a five person test team placed in Meteor Mobile Communications. Our goal was to validate Meteor’s 3G portal prior to public release. - Rating and functionality testing of prepaid and postpaid services over WAP 1.0, 2.0 and data protocols whilst liaising with UK based developers and the Meteor team. - Successful ontime completion of the 3G portal project.

- Test development of Ford camera from prototype phase to a high volume environment.- BMW camera ECU low volume test system design and implementation with handover to Czech plant. - Environmental test system development on both BMW and Ford cameras and ECU’s.
